A few years ago I was on a meditation retreat where you had to sit in a completely still position while meditating for up to an hour.
When it was mealtime, a vegetarian diet was provided, and it was understood that you should continue to eat vegetarian food at home even after the retreat. Nothing wrong with a vegetarian diet, but is it really necessary to achieve results? Something told me that it could hardly be something absolutely necessary, but… what do I know?”, I thought.
When I started this meditation, there were no requirements as to what position I should meditate in, no requirements as to how I should live my life. I liked that. And I still like that. I live my life without prohibitions or orders while meditating in full personal freedom.
