Why Do We Seek Truth?

To truly find the truth, one must actively search for it. But where is it—and how can it be found? To many, the very idea of seeking something as elusive as “truth” may sound strange, even impossible.

I have personally spent a long time trying to understand the meaning of life. It has required both patience and deep reflection—but it is a journey I am profoundly grateful for. Over time, I’ve come to realize that truth is not merely a philosophical question. Ultimately, it is a matter of life and death. To find truth is to awaken to one’s birthright: to live fully—and eternally.

Why Is Finding Truth Important?

I don’t think I’m alone in sensing that this search matters deeply. For centuries, philosophers, spiritual teachers, and ordinary people alike have sought answers to life’s fundamental questions. Even those who don’t see themselves as religious or philosophical often carry—consciously or not—a longing to be free from anxiety, stress, and mental suffering.

This very suffering often becomes the catalyst. It pushes us to seek something higher—a way out of fear, sadness, and the repetitive thought patterns that keep us trapped.

The Trap: The Inner World of Images

We live, one could say, in a world of images—a kind of mental photo album filled with moments from our lives to which we cling, much like chapters in a novel. Our minds attach themselves to these inner pictures to construct a sense of identity. But the price we pay is high: this attachment drains our energy and clouds the clarity needed to perceive truth.

The liberating insight is this: your life story is not the truth, not the real. It is merely an image in the mind. And images—no matter how vivid—are not reality.

What Lies Beyond the Stories?

Beneath all the layers of stories and memories lies something else: our true self. Underneath everything we have learned and accumulated resides the truth itself. Many traditions tell us that wisdom already exists within, but we have lacked a clear method to reach it.

My meditation teacher once said, “It’s time to become truth.”

Today, this has become possible—for anyone. Thanks to the internet and digital communities, the method of letting go of false images has become available to people across the world.

Letting Go: The Way to Truth

I once carried countless mental pictures from my life. But step by step, as I began letting go of them, a deeper wisdom emerged. Some call this inner source “God,” others “Buddha,” or “Allah.” The name doesn’t matter. What matters is the willingness to let go of what is false—so that what is true can appear.

Think of it as a photo album. We collect pictures, memories, and stories, gluing them together to form “my life.” In some chapters, we see ourselves as victims; in others, as heroes. But ultimately, we are not this album—we are the truth behind it.

Living as Truth

When the pictures are gone, freedom arises. With a clear mind—free from old stories—we can live with clarity and wisdom. We no longer perceive ourselves merely as individuals but as part of a greater whole. We become one with all that exists.

The question to ask oneself is: Am I living a true life?

When I asked that question myself, I realized how much suffering I had caused by holding onto the past—replaying old scenes, blaming others, and defending my story. Yes, the events had taken place, but they were not the truth. They were merely memories—images.

The Good News: Truth Lies Within

So where is truth found? It exists within every one of us. And now, with a method to release the inner pictures, we can leave behind the false self and the world of illusion—and become truth itself.

When you do, you begin to live freely, clearly, and joyfully—in the true world.

To share this has been a privilege. The journey toward truth has been the most meaningful undertaking of my life. I hope you, too, will dare to try. You may be surprised by how open, light, and free your inner world can become.

Happy Meditation! 🌸🤗
